POSITION SUMMARY: The senior programmer position will be responsible for the following:
- Primarily responsible for the CRM and Customer Loyalty applications
- Working with business groups on requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, and on going support of various software applications
- Interfacing with third party software vendors
- Reacting quickly to production issues, ad-hoc user requests and general end user support
- Maintain system data integrity and security
- Participation in the on-call rotation
In addition, the successful applicant will be cross-trained on a variety of systems and platforms.
The ability to multi-task, along with excellent problem resolution skills are necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ability to write SQL and stored procedures
· UNIX Scripting
SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Teradata Customer Relationship Management system experience is a benefit
· ValueSys Loyalty system experience is a benefit
· Skills with extracting, transforming and loading data into Relational Database Management Systems are a benefit
· Experience with Teradata Database Systems is a benefit
· Microsoft .Net and Cognos experience is a benefit
· Knowledge of batch IBM Mainframe processing is a benefit
o JCL – Coding and Scheduling of jobs, Maintenance of existing JCL, Sorts
o DB2 – SQL/QMF/Package/Cobol experience
o COBOL – Experience in coding DB2/VSAM and flat file processing
o VSAM – Experience with IDCAMS and Cobol processing
o TSO ISPF – Edit/Utilities
o Zeke – Experience a plus, but not required
· Business Skills Required
o Specific knowledge of retail Customer Relationship Management and Loyalty processing is a benefit, but not required
· Other General Skills Required
o Good verbal and written communication skills
o Working well with others with minimal supervision
o Excellent problem solving skills
